Message posted to usenet at the day I heard SAQ:
Today 28th may 1998 the old 200 kW Alexanderson alternator in
Grimeton Sweden is on the air again on 17.2 kHz. Call SAQ.
This mornings transmission 0915-0945 UTC was received well here in
Belgium, try to listen 1500-1530 UTC today.
The Alexanderson alternator was build for traffic with the USA in
1923 so wonder if it still can be heard over there.
Switch all TV's and ac dimmers off.
I also heard RDL (Russia?) with cw en 50 baud rtty on 18khz.
Grimeton will transmit a message in A1 for 15 minutes and will repeat
that once more.
