Hamradio
For the one who don't know what hamradio is or want to know more I refer to
the bookmarks which contain links to sites that explain hamradio in several
languages.
I have a hamradio licence CEPT class B. Which allows me to use the hambands
from 50Mhz fequencies and higher at 150W (not all..). No CW and no HF.
Though there is interest in this but so far not enough time to do the
CW test..
Currently I'm busy with:
- Packet radio using linux
with the ax2utils. And 2 baycom modems.
- FM phone (like every ham I guess)..
- SSTV/FAX (Tried this using the hamcom interface and jvfax).
- ATV
- preamp build and tested
- working on antenna @ TWG
- sat rx still needs some tuning
- 137 Mhz weathersat receivinger (still building the receiver).
In the future (plans.. or utopia ?):
- Sattracking ( qro is looking forward to build the mechanical rotors system )
- Fast data link (WBFM from the slovenian amateur union caught my attention ).
- QRP cw ( like making a small transmitter with only a few components. )
My shack is my old bedroom where I had to move out my bed as it was getting too full
with shack-stuff..
This is what I use:
- TM-251e 2 meter transceiver. For 2m fone. (mostly on 145.300 Mhz)
- TH-79E dualband handheld.
- TEKK ks1000 UHF transceiver fixed on 439.825 9600bd
- Kenwood TR8300 uhf transceiver for 1200bd
- 1200bd baycom (serial)
- 9600bd baycom (par96)
- a 386 running linux: linux.on1clh.ampr.org [44.144.8.60]
- pentium K6 behind firewall on linux.on1clh.ampr.org
- 486 also behind firewall
- R-100 : on old hf tube-receiver from the Belgian army
- TV set and an 2 amstrad sat receiver (dish pointed to hotbird)
- And alot of electro-garbage to 'play' with ;-D
