ROVER ROUTES FOR OKLA. QSO PARTY

FROM E-MAIL SOURCES

FROM COY N5OK

Hi Folks,

So far here is what we have planned.  As we determine the amount of time it
takes to work a county, we will have a better idea of the rest of the trip,
if any.

I plan to start operating Friday evening in Dewey County and proceed up
Highway 3 to cover:  Woodward, Ellis, Harper, Beaver, Texas,  and Cimm.  We
are spending the night in Boise City, no matter how late we get there!  ;-)
Saturday we plan the following:  Cimm, Texas, Beaver, Harper, Ellis,
Woodward, Dewey, Custer, Roger Mills, Beckham, Washita, Kiowa, Greer,
Jackson, Harmon, Tillman, Cotton, Comanche.  Not sure where we will crash.
If we don't make it that far, will likely stay in Lawton.  Other counties
that I'm trying to work into this tough schedule are:  Jefferson, Stephens,
Grady, Caddo,  and Canadian (My home county).  If we run out of counties
before we run out of time Sunday, we will look at Kingfisher, Garfield,
Grant, Alfalfa and Woods.  Eeeesh!

If someone else is definitely going to activate any of these counties, I
would like to know so that I can reroute my efforts.  I want to make sure
that the western half of the state is on the air.

I'm going to be running an Icom 706 Mk II to a screwdriver antenna.  Will
work the bands 10 through 80 in each county SSB only.  Don't think I'll want
to use the knee key!

FROM JERRY K5YAA

I am going to attempt a
pass through Nowata, Craig, Ottawa, Delaware, Adair, Cherokee, Mayes and back
to Rogers where I'm entering SOHP from home.  The mobile jaunt will likely be
on Saturday midday to evening and will be for passing out some mults 10 - 40
meters.

K5PX is planning some western work and I have asked that he send us his
plans.  K5KA said he will get Washington county on.

Howdy,
This weekend is the OK QSO Party, Lawton is setting up somewhere there
in Lawton, and they will be out for folks to get on the air, they are
going to be
more or less being a checklog station, they just want folks to get on
the air
who have not been due to living somewhere they cannot have radio gear
strung up.

Got this from Bill W5VW, just passing it on.... it may be short notice,
but
hey it's a start.
