Brief instructions on How to Do the Oklahoma QSO Party
using CT which does not have a menu selection for very
many QSO Parties.

CT Version 9.67 was used to test the supplied .DAT files.
Very likely earlier versions that offer CAL QSO Party as
a contest selection will also work but any of those earlier
versions were not tested.

General Instructions:

1. To get CT to perform for the OK QSO Party without requesting
and waiting for code changes to CT, the format used for the
California QSO Party in CT fit nicely with one exception.
The Oklahoma QSO Party does not require a serial number but
the CQP as written in CT does so an operator has to 'fake'
out CT entries by putting something in the serial field.
During testing we simply entered a digit 1 for all serial
numbers and moved on to the multiplier field.

2. The file that came with CT named CQP.DAT will need to be
renamed something else such as CQP.DAX Once the correct
file (OKQPOUT.DAT for outside Oklahoma) or (OKQPIN.DAT for
inside Oklahoma) is copied to your operating CT directory,
rename CQP.DAT to your chosen on-hold name and then rename
the needed OKQP .DAT file to CQP.DAT

3. When you light up CT and begin defining parameters for the
contest select CQP Cal QSO Party for Contest Type:

You are ready to go. All 77 three character abbreviations will
show in the States Provinces window if you are operating outside
Oklahoma (OKQPOUT.DAT) and 49 states plus 9 provinces will show
in the States Provinces window if you are operating inside
Oklahoma (OKQPIN.DAT)

The file Counties.txt is supplied only as a handy county abbreviation
to full Oklahoma county name cross reference.
