I developed my favorite portable antenna for 10m band originally as dedicated for CB 11m band. (Pictures below, here and there). Later on I modified its best working version for 10m band. 6-meter long laminate fishing rod contains half-wave wire inside the tube and is fed by quarter-wave J-match made of RG92 coax cable. Usage of coax "J" (instead of usual symmetric link) made it possible to conduct coax inside aluminium mast until bottom ground level. So the whole system remains dry during rain. This antenna is light and can be raised relatively fast by one person. It gives good results when placed 5m (or more) above ground level.

We had Pag hills as shield behind us to the South (azimuth 120 - 270 deg.). In front of us there were open directions to the West-North, North and East over Velebit Mountains (vertical angle about 5 degrees). Nearly no local stations, only DX conditions. Well - and few meters below - quiet bay, clear watter - very good for swimming and diving.
