July 2002
In July 2002 we visited the Kjerringøy, near Bodø in Northern Norway. I had with me just a quarter wave vertical made of a fishing rod and my Yaesu FT-817, running whole 5 watts! The QTH was surrounded by mountains to the most directions and the propagation was not too good. But still I managed to have few QSOs on 14MHz, mainly to Europe.

August 2006
In August 2006 we were again in Norway, this time in Central Norway. Again I had the fishing rod GP and a 20 end-fed wire up in two QTHs: in Dombås (JP42NB, 750 m a.s.l) and in Sjøholt (350 m a.s.l). Most of the QSOs were again on 14 Mhz CW, but also on 7 MHz. Even had to go to SSB to get a new one, 4O3T from Montenegro :) This time I also had more power, 100 watts out of my brand new FT-897.

July 2008
In July 2008, back in Norway, destination being island of Vega (IOTA EU-062). On the route to Vega we stopped in several places for one or more nights, but only one was suitable QTH to set up some antennas. The first QTH was village of Skaga in Nærøy, about 150 kms north from Trondheim. I had about 20 QSOs from there on 14 and 7 MHz CW during our one night stay there.

The QTH in the main destination in Kirkøy on the island of Vega was right by the sea. I had there again my fishing rod GP up and had about 80 QSOs on 7, 10, 14 and 21 MHz bands. Propagation was not too good, but occationally I got a small pileup, probably due to IOTA EU-062.

July 2009
In July 2009 we were again in Norway, this time visiting islands of Lovund, Lofoten and Vesterålen. Anyhow, I was QRV only from Lovund (IOTA EU-062) and due to some RFI concerns only for a very short period of time. Propagation was quite poor, but I managed to get few QSOs to Europe and Asia.

The QSLs are on their way via the bureau
