Prepared by: OH2MCN - Veke & Waldek DL7ANQ & 9M6DXX - Steve
Status: July 1997 linked new application form from the Polish authority PZK, ‘08

Intro: If you have a valid foreign license you can apply for a license in Poland. Poland implements CEPT Recommendation TR 61-01 and no separate license is needed if you have joined CEPT (see CEPT). For other than CEPT countries the following is the best information that we have.

PTT (from ITU database):
Panstwowa Agencja Radiokomunikacyjna (UKE, Office of Electronic Communications)
Zarzad Krajowy
ul. Kasprzaka 18/20

Paperwork needed:
1. copy of your licence
2. signed application (I, Waldek DL7ANQ, have a template, if you wish I can try to send it in electronical form) includes description of RIG/antennae, some other stuff and also you should describe your way to Poland (custom point); you will receive a paper for customs to let your equipment into the county.
3. allowance from occupants of your QTH in Poland that ham-radio operation from this QTH will be allowed.
The best way to get a license:
Price:
abt 25,- PLN currency as license fee (abt. 10,-US$)
Special calls:
Your call-sign is per default SO + region# + your suffix. You can ask for a different suffix or a special callsign but I don't know the mode (and price, hi). Addition: no additional prices, you can ask for any suffix if still available (SP4TKK/5)
How long before you can operate?
License restrictions:
Your license is valid for 1 year; all amateur bands but not 6mtrs.
6 mtrs stuff only:
You can get a 6 mtrs license (fixed QTH only!!!) if your rig has a homologation by Polish radio agency (I have one!!!!). The 6mtrs lis is valid for this rig only (identified by a serial number). Self made rigs have to be sent to Poland for homologation. Addition: from November '95, there is no homologation needed, however, you still need a separate license for 6m (SP4TKK/5)
Customs:
See above
