Swiss Air and Crossair flights brought us and all our ham radio equipment to this beautiful island. We rented an appartment in the north of the island. Mrs. Lane on BUNKERS HILL in VALE offered a nice place to stay and also a possibility for an antenna. Our brand new transceiver from YAESU, model  FT-100 mobile covering HF, 50Mc, 144Mc and 433Mc in all modes did a very nice job! It proofed to have a great receiver with good IMD and puts out a strong signal with 100Watts utilizing DSP digital signal processing on transmit and receive. During the flight I had studied the users manual and so the initial setup was no problem and we were on the air the evening we had arrived.
