This is another hobby of mine - actually, it's my first one. After lots of patience during my childhood :-), I got my first telescope, which was a 76/910 refractor. Observing the sun (monitoring sun spots) and planetary objects was my initial favorite. I tried some astrophotography too, but lets just leave it with that :-)
Later on, I managed infecting a school mate with the astronomy virus and eventually we built ourselves a complete observatory. Currently, we're working on its second version, and I hope I can include a picture soon. We have been using a Celestron C8 telescope on a GreatPolaris mount, equipped with the Vixen SkySensor2000-PC. The software that controls this machinery is The Sky version 5 level IV.
Recently, we upgraded to a Celestron CGE-1400 - and added a Van Slyke Engineering MGF1 MicroGlide Focuser as secondary focuser later on - and The Sky version 6. A modified Philips ToUcam Pro and a Starlight XPress MX-7C are used for CCD imaging and auto guiding.
Here's a small set of my very first astro-images:
Moon (April 24th, 2004) - CGE-1400/Philips ToUcam Pro/Registax
Jupiter (Europa transition April 24th, 2004) - CGE-1400/Philips ToUcam Pro/Registax
Saturn (April 24th, 2004) - CGE-1400/Philips ToUcam Pro/Registax
Venus transition (June 8th, 2004) - CGE-1400 & Canon EOS-10D (last 2 pictures with f/6.3 reducer):
