Radio Broadcast Tower

Hi! and thanks for coming back to my call...

The handle here is Dick, and the QTH is Naples, Florida.

Naples is on the extreme south west, Gulf Coast of Florida, directly across the state from Fort Lauderdale. Naples is often referred to by the locals and visitors alike, as a tropical paradise.

The rig here is a Kenwood TS440S running barefoot (100 watts), and is usually in the mobile. The mobile antenna is a tri-band Hustler on the short (22") mast, with 15, 20 and 75 meter elements. I normally operate mobile because I can't put up an antenna outside my condo-apartment. I've tried various indoor antenna schemes, with the best being the MFJ Super Hi-Q Loop antenna. However, the mobile still works best, especially when I park at the beach, looking out onto the Gulf of Mexico.

My other rigs are a Kenwood TM-2530A and a Radio Shack HTX-202 on 2 meters. An old Swan 350C which I bought new in 1968 or 69, and a Heathkit SB-220 linear that still covers the 10 meter band.

My original QTH was Yonkers, New York. In 1987, I packed up my XYL and two harmonics, and moved to the sunny south land.

Presently, I am a member of the Technical Services Team of Naples Community Hospital as a computer network analyst/administrator. I have been a Novell Certified Netware Engineer (C.N.E.) since 1991.

Well, that’s about all I've got to say for now. I guess it's about time to QRT...

Please take a look around the rest of my site, and if you have a few moments, sign my guestbook. If you have a kid or kids, let them browse through my teenage daughter Kristi's site too. You can also get to Kristi's site by clicking on her icon in the family menu.

Thanks for the QSO, Good Luck, Good DX and Best 73's

Dick, NY4FL
