The NS9M 443.025 Repeater


     The NS9M 443.025 repeater is located in Terre Haute, Indiana on the Indiana State University, School of Education.
      The repeater is "open" for use by any licensed amateur radio operator who wishes to use the system.
      The repeater is made possible through the generosity of:  Indiana State University.
       The repeater antenna's base is mounted on the roof of the School of Education which is approximately 185 feet high. The antenna is currently a Cushcraft ARX-270 dual band 146/440 MHz. antenna.
       The antenna is fed with approximately 40 feet of 1/2 inch feedline.
      The repeater is a Motorola Radius GR-500 repeater. The transmitter is operating with a power output of approximately 25 watts into the duplexer.
       The receiver is operating with a sensitivity of approximately .21uV for 12dB SINAD.
    The duplexer is a Motorola four cavity duplexer.
     Input frequency for the repeater is 448.025MHz. this is the standard +5 offset.
    At this time the repeater is "carrier operated," no CTCSS tone is required.
   
      This repeater is able to be linked to repeaters world-wide by being part of the  IRLP.

                                             Future Improvements



 

       *The repeater is operating on "carrier squelch" and will continue to operate in this mode unless I am forced to use CTCSS (tone) due to interference to the repeater. So far there has been no problems.
          *

       * Install 60-watt amplifier.
 
       *Update the web-page as needed to reflect changes in the system and add some pictures!
