When it snows, you ski !

The snow in Colorado is usually dry and great fun to play in, assuming you prepare for it properly, mostly just dressing right. There is a hut system that allows you to visit the back country in style and spend a few days disconnected from the rest of the world. Included in these shots are a visit from my good friend (from sea level) Andy, K1RA .. huffing and puffing near Leadville at an altitude of 10,200 ft ASL.

Come on in, the water is fine !

What can I say ?, I like water sports. Kayaking and rafting top the list but a few years ago I started sailing and last year Teresa got me into scuba and occasionally I'll spend a day fly fishing. In the left hand shots above from the Yampa river, notice the tiny spec in the middle of the river, a 16 foot raft with passengers. The waterfalls shots are from my younger days and between 15 and 25 feet. Great fun.
