I have been fortunate to visit the Grand Canyon in Arizona twice. In 1994 I was on an 18 day raft/kayak trip and in 1999 I spent some time in nearby Flagstaff so was able to do some day hikes.

There is alot of great territory in Colorado. This lake is a 5 mile hike in so pretty secluded and less frequently visited. The "downtown" shots are Evergreen, where I live. Pretty small town so the traffic backs up a bit during rush hour. Fall is a great time here, though there are few orange and red leaves, mostly just yellow from Aspen trees. Animals frequent the neighborhood, here some deer stop to nibble in my yard. Elk are fairly prevalent (and a road hazard) and there are occasional sightings of bear and mountain lion. Raccoons are usually heard and their destruction found the next day.
