Attention Antenna Lovers !!!!!!

the

(One of just many antennae designed by Greene County Ham WS8B.)

They say timing is everything. Such was the case a few years ago during an XWARN field day activity. It just so happened that the local fire department was training nearby and with a little persuasion, assisted in this  public service orientated experiment.

The Squagi, is attached to the bucket with the handy man's universal fix it (duct tape.) A pair of Xenia firemen begin to raise the aerial ladder  into the air .

With a little help from the Xenia City Fire Division's aerial ladder, the squagi radiates nearly 100 feet in the air as Frank Beafore WS8B makes a contact on his 2 meter handheld.
