Dayton

The Dayton Hamvention is the largest gathering of Ham radio operators in the world. Since it is so very close to our home (less than a 2 hour drive) we have been fortunate enough to attend almost every year since the late 80's. My sons who are not licensed yet, always enjoy the Dayton trip each year. The outdoor flea market is where we have all found many treasures.

Corey and I mesmerized by the display of equipment.

I was amazed at the new Yaesu VX-7R HT as they were submerged in a large round sort of fish tank to demonstrate the waterproof feature now commonly called IPX7. This display convinced me to find the nearest dealer so I could take one home as a souvenir from Dayton 2002.

This is actually a goat with a TV camera attached to his head transmitting live video from the Dayton Hamvention.
