Looking for Volunteers for a public service project
Observers for the Macomb
County Siren Test
One of the reasons we have the privilege of Ham
Radio is because of the Public Service we provide. This is great way we can give back to the
community. This effort improves Macomb County’s
readiness to notify citizens of life-threatening hazards.
·
An
easy way to do some valuable public service.
·
Don’t
need to be a club member or even a Ham.
o
Anyone
can volunteer.
·
Less
than one hour to help out.
·
12
different events available for you to select from.
o
1st
Saturday of the month at 1pm EST.
·
We
have a simple webpage for you to select which siren you wish to visit for that
month’s test.
How to volunteer:
You
simply go to the below link to see which sirens are available. You put your info next to the siren you want
to observe. You also put your observations there.
