Several of you have approached me about starting a Young Ham of the Year award. Mary Ahls W4NZJ and I have been working on this. In fact Mary has designed a logo already. At the last ARCA meeting I suggested that this award should be managed by ARCA. I am hoping that ARCA will approve this idea at their next meeting at the Scottsdale Hamfest. If everything works out we might be able to give out the first award this year. Be thinking about who you would nominate for this award.
