Marriage
Is a Hav-A-Hart Trap
Baited with honey
Steel jaws lined in velvet
Well perfumed to throw Man
Off the scent of freedom.
And if Woman
Does not check her traps often
Her prey may well die
From lack of food
And shelter
And love.
Why bother
To capture me alive
If you do not intend
To release me
To the wild?
