If you tell me
That you long for me tonight
I won't be offended
(You could never offend me)
But I'm not sure
My need to be great
Is as great as your need.
If you offer
To fulfill my dreams tonight
I will be honored
(For you always do me honor)
Yet this may be
One occasion
When I'd be better left to dream.
If you show me
How your passion swells tonight
I will be moved
(For you've always moved me)
Though perhaps not
Able to move.
For you have finally used me up.
