You Opened Your Eyes To Me

You opened your arms to me
And we embraced
With a longing
So intense it could only
Be fulfilled through a lifetime.

You opened your lips to me
And we kissed
With a tenderness
That reached deep within me
And brought me to tears.

You opened your legs to me
And we loved
With a passion
Which cannot be denied
And will never be satisfied.

You opened your heart to me
And we built
For each other
A shelter from the storms
Of our most secret fears.

You opened your life to me
And it seemed
That my life
Had at last achieved greatness,
Would be empty no more.

You opened your soul to me
And I knew
At that moment
That our love would transcend
The boundaries of mortality.
