Just Lovers

I look at your marriage,
Your life before us,
And I see comfortable --
Though without passion.

I look at my marriage,
My life before us,
And I see convenience --
Though without fire.

And now that we've found
Both passion and fire,
Where do we go
With our Real World lives?

I doubt I could ever
Ask you to leave him
For me. There is too much
You stand to lose.

I fear you could never
Ask me to leave her
For you. That is too much
For me to expect.

And perhaps it's just as well.
We like each other too much
To ever be more
Than just lovers.
