From my sixth story balcony
I gaze out upon the Atlantic,
Hear the surging of the surf,
Taste the salt upon my face,
And contemplate our future.
Is there life after love?

From Seacliff's rocky crags
You gaze out upon the Pacific,
Hear the shrieking of the gulls,
Feel the wind in your hair
And contemplate our past.
Is there love left to share?

If one of us could only turn around!
