Nothing For You Here
There's nothing for you here anymore.
Now that your prince has won his prize,
You're abandoned to your castle among fineries and riches
While he rides off on his quest, seven hours every day
And you only get to hold your knight by night,
So there's nothing for you here anymore.
There's nothing for you here anymore,
Now that you're safe behind the moat.
When you wandered in the forest, ever hiding from the beast
He would ride out to your rescue, slay the dragons at your feet
But now there are no dragons left to fight,
So there's nothing for you here anymore.
There's nothing for you here anymore.
Five handsome princes you have borne.
You are raising them together; he is teaching them to joust.
They will grow to young adulthood and are sure to do you proud
But soon they'll leave to each become a knight,
So there's nothing for you here anymore.
There's nothing for you here anymore,
Except for the man who holds your heart.
And you know he'll never leave you, he will cherish you forever
But eternity together can be something of a bother
And happily ever after is a fright,
So there's nothing for you here anymore.
