Donatella Bella

In the autumn of my life
In Salerno I arrived
To discuss communications interstellar.
Soon I found myself, in truth,
Recapturing my youth
(In my mind, at least) with Donatella bella.

To the sparkle in her eyes
I found I could not disguise
My attraction. After all, I'm just a fella.
And it wasn't only me.
Clearly, everyone could see
The intelligence of Donatella bella.

Close to her I long to be,
As perhaps she'd feel of me
If I only had the courage just to tell her.
No, I'll view her from afar,
Like a bright but distant star,
The elusive, graceful Donatella bella.
