At the A & P

As I cruise the aisles at the A & P
I cannot seem for the life of me
To remember clearly, without a list,
Just what to buy. But I get the gist.

We need more coffee, of that I'm sure,
But how much? What kind? I deftly tour
The rows and shelves. I have a hunch
It's the house brand that we need for brunch.

But still I'm stumped, and most befuddled.
Which one can it be:
A three pound can of Eight O'Clock,
Or an eight pound can of Three?
