Regal Alaskan Hotel is Iditarod Headquarters

The Regal Alaskan Hotel is the official Headquarters for the Alaskan Iditarod Dog Sled Race from Anchorage to Nome. On the Thursday and Friday prior to the start, all of the mushers and race officials have their pre-race meetings at this hotel. This is also the location for all of the race communications during the race. All updates on the race are recorded here as the race progresses. This is also where the computers for the Iditarod Web Page are located. There is quite an impressive souvenir layout in the main lobby.
