The Sniff Amp and Shrunken Quad

With the SuperDF I could get excellent bearings, but I had problems determining how close I was to the transmitter. By using the Sniff Amp's meter I could determine how close I was to the fox. The combination of the Shrunken Quad, Sniff Amp and the SuperDf proved to be the one, two punch for finding well hidden transmitters. It was a bit awkward carrying both of them around in the brush on a southern California night hunt.

I buiIt the Sniff Amp and Shrunken Quad from plans and schematics found in the bible of RDF, TRANSMITTER HUNTING---Radio Direction Finding Simplified by Joe Moell K0OV and Tom Curlee WB6UZZ.
