I am Gene, N5UIN, a ham radio operator in San Antonio, Texas. I am a Technician Class Amateur Radio Operator. I obtained my license when the FCC changed the rules and eliminated the Morse Code portion of the examination for a Ham Radio license. I had said years ago that I would get my license when they eliminated the code. I don't use ham radio a lot but it is very nice when on the road or when my husband is away in his ham radio equiped auto.
