Here is some pictures of my mobile hf-vhf/uhf station. I got a  IC-706MIIG about a year ago and have been enjoying it very much.  I have now mounted the face up on the dash but don't like it very much.  It is easier to see but the sun sure makes it hot.  I have to pull it off the mount unless I'm parked in the shade. They just don't make much radio room in a Sonoma these days.  Anyway. I get many good reports on this system.  I get reports from a lot of  folks that thought I was running a amp but was running just the rig. I can't imagine what the reports would be with a 350 watt amp or better.  Will have to try that one day.

The 102 inch whip helped out in a major way with the radiation.  I also heard that running a Fiberglas 102 inch helps reduce the noise level while running down the road.  I have had many contacts with different countries with this antenna system and my Hustler 3 band antenna system.  I must brag on this screwdriver antenna.  It's very good and easy to adjust to the different bands while driving down the road. I will cover 160 to 10 mtrs. To cover the 160 there is another coil to add and to use the other bands you must remove the coil. I have installed some heavy duty quick disconnects to help in the whip removal.  I was working down town Dallas and had to park in a concrete bunker with low ceiling.  So the whip had to be removed before I could enter.

I have many contacts around the world while on trips such as Japan, South America, Australia, Canada, Trinidad plus many State side contacts on 20, 40, 75 mtrs.

I hope to have 6 mtr, 2 mtr and 70 cm loops mounted on the mobile.  I bought one 2 mtr used but found a part broken so now having to rebuilt it so will make a antenna that will cover it all (6, 2 mtr and 70 cm).

Here is a picture of the mount.  I had a removable ground wire so that it made it easy to pull;; the complete antenna system so I could haul a full load and yet have the antenna re-installed within 5 minutes.

Here is a picture of the 2 mtr ssb antenna that I will be adding to my mobile station then will have a 440 loop added later.
