My name is Rocky Wilson and I am located in Orange, Texas, Grid EM30CC, and County of Orange.

 

I've been a Ham since May of 1987. I really enjoy ham radio. I like to build and experiment with wire antennas for HF & Yagi’s for VHF/UHF. I enjoy going to ham fest and visiting with people... I am active in ARES and I am the E.C. for Orange Co., Texas. My station is set up for emergency communications & emergency preparedness. I run a Kenwood TS 570DG and a Patcomm 16000 into a DX-CC dipole antenna & other wire antennas on the HF bands. Also, I have numerous VHF/UHF radios for working FM. I like chasing DX, especially using 100 watts or less.  Also, I have an interest in working QRP in the field and while outdoors. My QRP setup is a Patcomm PC-500 radio, a TE-NE-KEY, a Windom antenna and a 17 Ah battery for power.  I enjoy all types of QSO’s on HF and enjoy some occasional contesting...
