40/80 Meter Home Brew Transmitter
This homebrew xmtr uses a 5763 tube driving a 6146B final. The rig puts out about 45 watts a peak load. The rig is usable on the 40 and 80 meter ham bands using plug in coils. I will get a few more pictures of the rig posted soon, along with a copy of the schematic. This was a fun project and still has further additions and improvements. Next build step; build an internal VFO, paint and label the cabinet. By the way, I bought a supply of war surplus FT243 Xtals and hand ground them to make them usable on the ham bands. Look for an update on xtal grinding in a future web page.
In the beginning, just an old chassis and some used junk pile parts.

Here is the transmitter in its current condition. Waiting on a paint job, labeling, and a built-in VFO.
