Clear Channel AM radio stations list. A clear channel AM station is one that broadcasts at maximum legal power 24 hrs/day. In the US and Canada, that power is 50,000 watts, but can be more in other countries. At night, the lower power local stations go off the air, and the high power clear channel stations can be heard easier, making them a good choice for hearing up-to-the-minute info on disasters that occured near the area of the station. In addition, medium wave propagation is enhanced at night (AM broadcast station signals carry further at night than during the day). That makes it even more likely you'll hear the station you need, even if it's several states away. Search the FCC database for all AM radio stations in America.
