Drove an hour to a northwest FN22 hilltop to set up 200w into 10-el. Strange propagation with heavy QSB (from 549 down to nothing) to the west northwest
where some of the best paths were supposed to be, and the stable signals ended up being in all the other directions. Stayed longer than expected to try
getting more QSOs in hopes that some enhancement would set in, but as soon as I stepped out of the contest van at 9:45 I noticed that the wind had picked up,
dashing any hopes of extended paths at my location. I guess I got spoiled with the high atmospheric pressure that made 6m perform better than usual 2 days
prior in the Sept VHF, and some Sunday morning enhancement on the higher bands.
