MUTUAL INDUCTANCE

AFTER THE STORM

It's only natural for people to venture outside after a severe weather event
to assess property damage, begin the clean up, take pictures, or simply to stand
in shock from the shear awesome power of destruction Mother Nature is capable of.
With all your neighbors reporting no electricity in their homes, your not surprised,
since most of the power lines are on the ground. But what you may not know is that these
wires are capable of being ENERGIZED AT ANY MOMENT. Utility crews will be out
in force, repairing crucial distribution lines that feed hospitals, police, and fire departments.
As these high lines(high tension wires)come back to life, they may run along side of wires
that have not had there turn(on) yet. Through mutual inductance, these wires can carry
enough energy to kill you. Given the right circumstances, as little as one tenth (1/10) of
an ampere can do you in, so please, STAY AWAY FROM ALL DOWNED WIRES!
