Fear not, my love, the passing of the seasons
Occasioned by our path around the sun.
They'll change without diminishing the reasons
For us to laugh and love and live as one.
Though I may seem preoccupied and distant,
Your touch can always set my heart ablaze.
As long as your attention is persistent
I shall not fear the passing of the days.
And if I sparkle less I am not turning.
It's just the inclination of the pole.
I always shall embrace you with a yearning,
Lest winter cast a shadow on my soul.
Fear not our passion's swift and subtle changes,
The times we laughed, the many that we cried.
Perceive them as inevitable stages
Which serve to bind me closer to your side.
Don't ask me to enumerate the reasons;
There's magic in the things you say and do.
I shall not fear the passing of the seasons
As long as I can spend them all with you.
