The Hummer Song
Lyrics copyright © 2004 by H. Paul Shuch
sung to the tune of The Hammer Song,

If I had a Hummer
I'd drive it in the desert
From morning until evening
All over Iraq,
Ignoring danger,
Not heeding any warning,
Not caring there's no love between the Shia and the Sunni
All over Iraq.
If I had a bomb
I'd drop it in the desert.
From Abadan to Zakho,
I'd level Iraq,
Put them in danger
And say it's for their freedom
And not about the oil we need, that's right there in the desert
All over Iraq.
If I've got it wrong,
Then I should leave the desert.
There's nothing we can do there
But ruin Iraq.
But Bush wants vengeance
No matter what it costs us.
He doesn't give a damn about my brothers and my sisters
All over Iraq.
Now I've got a Hummer,
And I've got a bomb.
And I've got it wrong, it seems,
All over Iraq.
It's not about justice
Or Iraqi freedom.
I'm telling you it's time to bring my brothers and my sisters
All home from Iraq.
