Well, you did not believe me...

I do have a mike and once in a blue moon I actually use it. 

 This is a rare photo, I operate mainly CW. 

The microphone is from the same era as my Drake radios.  

It is an Astatic D-104, the Silver K Eagle.  As the name suggests, it has the capability to play "K" in Morse code at the end of transmission.  A relict of the CB radio, as some say... I really enjoy having this function disabled ;-)  What I really like is the built-in  pre-amplifier frequency response.  The additional gain in the higher frequencies add quite a bit of punch to the already sharp Drake SSB signal.
