My Name is Bill I have been a Armature Radio Operator since 1991. I have loved it. There are times where I have not been able to work the radios because of where I lived, like now I have to make some indoor antennas to put on my closed in porch. Thank goodness I live on the second floor. As I work on this site it will of course change. I am going to have a page for my radios and one for antennas, along with other pages of info.

  When I first started out in Armature Radios I took the novice exam where you had to learn morse code. Now you don't even need that! my first contact came on 02/25/91 it was to Wharton Texas with a 5/9 signal. The person who I owe this accomplishment to is WA5EUJ John Ramey, from then on I was so totally hooked !The picture I have on my home page under my call sign is when I first started and had the call sign KA1YGP.
