Here are the DC and RF voltages in the transmitter section of the Rockmite 40 I have here. It has a 2N3053 in the PA, and has R18 shorted across.
| DC | RF(RMS) | |
|---|---|---|
| Q4 | ||
| C | 13.6 | - |
| B | 4.9 | 4.2 Rx, 3.5 Tx |
| E | 8.6 | - |
| Q5 | ||
| C | 13.6 | .06 Rx, .9 Tx |
| B | 11.6 RX, 10.0 Tx | 2.7 Rx, 2.6 Tx |
| E | 13.6 Rx, 3.8 Tx | 0 Rx, 2.8 Rx |
| Q6 (2N3053) R18 shorted | ||
| C | 13.6 Rx, 13.3 Tx | 0 Rx, 7.3 Tx |
| B | 4.5 Rx, .55 Tx | 0 Rx, .86 Tx |
| E | 13.6 Rx, .37 Tx | - |
| RF Out to Ant on Tx | ||
| 7.6 V RMS, equates to 7.15(1.2W maybe--rc) Watts out. | ||
These measurements taken with no inductors in series between the dual crystals and tuning diode, so the oscillator was operating very close to its crystal frequency, as the un-modified RM40 would be.
