Spring 2025 Meeting Minutes of the Marquette Repeater Association 6-12-2025

                
The meeting was called to order by President Andy Larsen, KB8PPE at 8:10PM at Mike Hoffman,
KE8IL's residence and via Zoom.

In attendance: Mike-KE8IL, Judy-KD8ITK, Andy-KB8PPE, Mike-KD8JIR, Gary-NJ8H, Al-W8FYZ
and Lucille-KD8PTE (via Zoom).
 

Secretary's Report:

The minutes of the Fall 2024 Meeting were read by Secretary Al-W8FYZ. Mike-KD8JIR
motioned to approve, second by Gary-NJ8H, approved.
 

Treasurer's Report by Mike-KE8IL:
Approximately 36 to 40 paid members as of meeting.  Motion to approve by Mike-KD8JIR,
Second by Al-W8FYZ, approved.

Old Business:

~ Al-W8FYZ reported no activity on redoing Electrical in Ham shack as we are still
on existing power.
~ Al-W8FYZ stated Linking project still planned but delayed due to availability of
tower for project.
~ Al-W8FYZ also mentioned the 6 meter Repeater project is still planned with hopeful
installation
of the antenna purchased and donated by Gary-KD8OXD by end of summer. (antenna is at
Al's-W8FYZ)
~ Mike-KE8IL reported no work yet on establishing Venmo Account, Club email address
and membership Google Docs list on website. (as proposed by Eric-N8RRZ)


New Business:

~ Al-W8FYZ discussed and displayed projected coverage map of 6-Meter repeater if antenna
installed at top of WHWL tower as planned.
~ Al-W8FYZ briefly discussed linking projects planned by various counties.
~ Mike-KD8JIR announced that HARA will participate in Field Day on June 28th from Noon
till 6PM at the West Branch Township Hall in Skandia. All are welcome to attend.
