Spring 2021 meeting of the Marquette Repeater Association 5-18-2021

*Note: this meeting was held both at KE8IL's and via Zoom due to the
ongoing Covid situation. 

The meeting was called to order at 7:26PM by President Andy-KB8PPE
via Zoom and in person.

In attendance: Andy-KB8PPE, MikeH-KE8IL, Al-W8FYZ, Judy-N8ITK,
John-KC8ULE, Lucille-KD8PTE, Mike-KD8JIR, Fred-KD8JIP, Ann-N1CDG,
Gary-NJ8H, Debbie-KD8VTS, Bill-KD8VTT, Bill-N8NJA, Scott-KD8NPJ,
Dave-W7DEG and David Finkbeiner-KE8PND.

Secretary's Report

The Minutes of the last meeting were read by Secretary Al-W8FYZ.
(Motion by Lucille-KD8PTE, Second by David-KE8PND approved by show of hands).

Treasurer's Report
Disbursements:
Approximately 50 paid members as of this meeting.
(Motion by Al,W8FYZ , Second by Scott KD8NPJ. approved by show of hands).

Old Business
- 440 Repeater update by Al, W8FYZ. Hoping to start up 440 in next two
weeks. Andy, KB8PPE gave status report of possible Tenant. Discussion
of whether where we should still run power from WHWL shack to ours.
Andy to inquire about whether we could get on Central Dispatch
Emergency Power with run from shack.
- Mike, KE8IL performed an update on Echolink and that solved the
problem of some cell phone Users being unable to access the 97
Echolink.
- No work done updating the Bylaws at this time. To be done in the
future.

New Business
- Mike, KE8IL found out from one of our members that NHRC Repeater
Controllers has gone out of business. so no support available.
- Correspondence from Brennan a former member in Washington State.
- Al mentioned shortage of Ham Radios.
- Al brought up need for volunteers for Alger County Public Service
Events.
- HARA is doing Ore to Shore, Eric Smith to head up.
- HARA doing Field Day. AARC is doing Field Day.
- Al and Andy brought up they are working on a linking project
between the Trenary 7.03, Skandia and the 97.

Meeting was adjourned at the direction of the President at 8:11PM.
