(Mark KF8RV-Moved to Approve, Lucille KD8PTE-Seconded, Approved).

Treasurer's Report

Treasurer's report motion to approve was made by Mike KD8JIR and
Seconded by Gary NJ8H, Approved.

Old Business

Al, W8FYZ gave a Status report as to the 440Mhz Repeater, new Controller
for the 97 Repeater and Lease being written for our placement on the
WHWL Tower.

The Equipment Insurance list was brought up so we can get our system
equipment insured through the ARRL. Lucille KD8PTE reminded us to
include the transmission line and antenna for replacement cost, not
current cost.

New Business

Electrical needs and or cost for our location in the new shack were
discussed. Presently, ATT is still powering the shack as they have some
land-line hardware still in use in shack. Al W8FYZ suggested we run a
temporary emergency power line from WHWL's transmitter building in
the likely event ATT should suddenly leave the shack and disconnect
Service.

The need for Generator power was discussed heavily. It was the general
consensus of the group that we could quickly get a generator to the site
of sufficient size to run the system in an emergency. It was suggested
we get prices to put a large UPS unit in the rack to power the repeaters
until someone could get there with a generator. Al W8FYZ to follow up.

ARRL Equipment insurance brought up.

Al W8FYZ stated he did not feel the 97 Repeater Receiver was as
sensitive as it was at it's previous location. He cited possible De-sense
from the WHWL Transmitter. Future testing was planned.

Mike KD8JIR mentioned that HARA had an upcoming Grant matching
funds fundraiser competition on November 7th at 5PM at the National
Ski Hall of Fame in Ishpeming. He invited all to attend.

Motion to Adjourn was made by Mike-KD8JIR, Seconded by Gary-NJ8H,
Approved. Meeting was adjourned at 8:15PM for Refreshments and
presentation by Al W8FYZ on how Duplexers/Cavities and Combiners
work in two-way radio systems.

Here is the link to the Youtube video of Al W8FYZ demonstrating how
