A Bit more from me...terrible when you can't think of headings !!!!

Newport Bridge now welded shut.

This is another bridge across the river Tees. The centre used to be raised to allow shipping up the river,now sadly the bridge is welded in it's closed position never to rise again.

While on about the river I will name a few of my radio friends from both sides who I regularly talk to on 145.300 mhz on an evening. Hello to:........ G0OPH Paul he lives north of the river and also has a page on this site. G4ABM Cyril also lives north of the river in Billingham an old timer.hihi G1NTL John lives my side of the river just outside Middlesbrough. G6VPV John lives in the "posh end" Darlington.
