TS 430 TRANSMIT AUDIO MOD
 

 
  Add more treble to your TS430S by removing c96 (.015 MFD ) on the if unit 
  board.  The removal of C96 adds about 3DB of precense to your transmit
  audio..

  INADEQUATE VOX GAIN
  Simply increase your VOX gain in your 430 by changing R23 (located next to 
  the vox gain control) from a 10K 1/2 watt resistor to a 3.3 K  1/2 watt 
  resistor.
 

VARIABLE MICROPHONE GAIN IN FM MODE Remove the pins from the plastic
housing of plug 19 (located next to the VOX gain control) and carefully
insert them with pins 3 & 4 of plug 5 on the if unit.  Mt to the VOX
gain control) and carefully insert them with pins _ & 4 of plug 5 on
the if unit.  Make sure the shielded leads correspond with each other.
This will also give you the ability to use your speech processor on
FM.
