Hi, my name is Andrea

I was a short wave listener for 2 years after my partner became a radio ham. Then in July 2000 I decided that joining in would be more fun than listening. So I started learning CW. It took me six weeks to pass at 12 wpm, but it was 3^rd time lucky. firstly at Lincoln, then at Leicester, and finally passing at Wakefield.  Hence LLW,

I then enrolled at Dinnington College in September and passed the R.A.E in December.

I  received my licence on the 23^rd Jan 2001.

Six months hard work paid off
