Contacting people all over the world by radio, which often leads to developing international friendships.

Communication through amateur space satellites, or with the International Space Station (which carries an amateur radio station) is possible.

Amateurs help at time of emergencies and disasters and help other organisations with their communications.

We helped other voluntary organisations and visit Bletchley Park and other places of interest.

We explored the history of amateur radio including famous radio amateurs such as King Hussein (JY1) etc.

The Foundation licence is your gateway to the world of amateur radio

It’s a great way to meet people and make new friends!
