GCSE mathematics students should click below for the mathsrevision.org.uk website, featuring a selection of key questions, updated every week.
Here is a program I have written to quickly produce sine or cosine graphs. You can vary any of the parameters, or switch between sine and cosine. Click on the link below to download this program.
Problem for people who like maths: How many solutions are there to this equation? root 2, to the power x = x
Or, try this, in the search for i, the square root of -1: By Euler's theorem, e to the power (i x pi) = -1 Square both sides: e to the power (2i x pi) = 1 Take logs of both sides: 2i x pi = ln(1) 2i x pi = 0 and therefore, i = 0 / (2 pi) ie the square root of -1 is zero!
Please email me (click on my photo above) with any mathematical problems or peculiarities of your own. |
