The Prat Trap

Pratrap.exe is a server for Winpack

It's purpose is to delete any private message as soon as it is received by Winpack if the callsign is found in a file called prat.lst. Having killed the message, it then sends a message to the sender saying that their message was deleted thus:-
Mail from you has been banned at this station so
your message was automatically deleted on receipt.

Once a personal message has been received with this server installed a file called pratext.txt will appear containing the above text so you can use an editor to alter the wording of this text to suit yourself.
As Winpack users know, you can stop bulletins been downloaded from certain stations by using [NOT FROM] in the selection list, but all SP mail is collected, so the only way to get rid of unwanted mail from stations that bother you is to use a server that deletes them as soon as they arrive.

To install pratrap :-

Place pratrap.exe into your Winpack folder.

Place !pratrap.pif into your Winpack\servers\receive folder.

Note!!

Don't remove the ! from the shortcut title as it ensures this server runs before other servers.

If your Winpack folder is other than C:\WINPACK then you
must alter the path in the shortcut !pratrap.pif

Using an editor such as Notepad make a file called
prat.lst in the Winpack folder containing the callsigns
of the stations you never want to see any mail from.

Start each line with a callsign, then you can if you wish,
add a comment after at least one space. The comment will
not be passed on.
Example:-

G1NNB
G4LBJ is very annoying. Seems to dislike me.

There is a sample of prat.lst enclosed.

Please note.
It kills the SP messages from stations in the list. It does not put them in the recycle bin.

OK, This is free for all to use with Winpack, but should it cause any problems, I accept no liability for any loss incurred.

You use it at your own risk.

You can download Xphtmlcv.exe version 6.622, Yes2.exe, a zip file full of htmlib images, and my other servers @ http://www.geocities.com/capecanaveral/launchpad/7916/

All comments welcome (except from G1NNB).
