Supplementary Setup Instructions for WinFBB 7.01-35A
The WinFBB 7.01-35A Software Installation Set is available in the Files section of BPQ32 Users Group
Go to WinFbb folder. Run the winfbbcfg.exe and go through your setup information, Call, Name Etc. Click on the ports tab, Add New, select BPQ next to the Type box. Select Users, (Mode) Gateway (options). I use Maxframe of 2 to avoid long R.F transmissions. Number of Chans: is up to the user what ever you feel comfortable with, Click Apply.
Click Add New, Select TLN (Type), Gateway, Users, Change TLN Port to 6300 unless you prefer a different Port to be used For Telnet. Select Number of Fwd Chanls: I use 5, Click apply, the Port setup Is complete for R.F. and Telnet.
Click on the Forwarding Tab. I use the following. FBB Forwarding, FBB Compressed Forwarding, X-Protocol forwarding, X-Protocol has priority. Do not use checksum with X-protocol, MBL/RLI Message Header, and H-Address field not limited to 6 characters.
The following files may be used with only minor editing to the forward.sys. if you are using one long forwarding file. Or you can use the FWD Folder and make individual files for your Forwarding Partners.
Either way works. In WinFbb 7.01Alpha the Config Folder is the same as system.sys folder in previous versions.
Copy your bbs.sys, reject.sys, redist.sys, swap.sys, forward.sys and BEACON1.SYS, FWD folder if you use it to the Config folder. NOTE: DO NOT COPY the PORT.sys file. It is no longer used. DO NOT Try to Edit the Ports.sys file in the Config Folder. Most of these Files are stored in the Registry of WinFbb.
Note: you can only use One BEACON1.SYS Your Beacon will be the same on all Ports; You can Mask Ports if you don’t care to have a Beacon on all Ports in BPQ32U, (Refer to the BPQ Documents).
If you have edited the English.inf and engish.txt, you can copy them to the Config\LANG folder as well.
The PG Files have been tested and are in use by Roger G3LDI.
YOU will have to edit your RF Forwarding Partners forwarding file. Remember WinFbb 7.01 only uses one BPQ port as illustrated in the ports setup. BPQ is on port 1. This will make all your forwarding partners port ID A. The difference between 7.01a and previous version is the connect statement to what TNC Port you are Going to Forwarding on. I use a Kantronics 9612 for Port 1 145.07 and Port 2 446.xxx, and a Kantronics KPC3 Plus on port 3. Here is were you need to do some editing to your forward partners,
A N9XXX

After you have copied all the files as described above, open the Configuration Tool, Click on Import, and import your reject.sys and swap.sys., File, Save and Exit.
You are now ready to run WinFbb. It will be in the All Programs, and will have a short cut in the Startup.
Instruction from the earlier version of F6FBB are very useful for file setup and commands, keep in mind what was named the system folder is renamed to CONFIG
In WINFBB 7.01A it is downloadable from the F6FBB web site and is also available
In the 7.01A Version.
Thanks To Ron Stordahl and John Wiseman for allowing the use of the BPQ Users Group for Support of FBB Systems.
