Subject: FM92 info Date: Thu, 06 Jan 2000 00:07:14 +0000 From: Mark McKenna Organization: DRU Communications To: gi4viv.pete@virgin.net Pete, Looking at the back of the mic plug (solder side) with the gap at the bottom, the bottom right pin is PTT, next up is Shield, and the third is Audio. On the speaker plug, top dead center is ground, and the pins either side are audio (just pick one). On the "D"-type, looking at the front (the bit that goes in the socket), pin8 (long row, far left) connects to pin 2 (long row, second from right). Pin 7 (long row, second from left) connects to pin 3 (long row, third from right). Sorry if it sounds condescending, but I'm just trying to explain in as much detail as possible. If you still don't get audio out, key the rig by shorting the PTT pin. If you've got a deviation meter check for about 0.5 of dev. If you have the 0.5, tune the capacitor & VR on the PA board so the cap is fully meshed & the VR is half way. If you don't drop the dev to 0 at these settings, play about a bit with the cap. If you still have problems, give me a shout and I'll throw it on the test-set. 73 de Mark
